resources
I use a number of platforms to support you in between our sessions. They range from places to buy herbs and supplements to apps that allow me to share nutrition advice, qi gong exercises, acupressure points and cognitive technique exercises to help change the way you perceive your condition.
I also sometimes use this space to link to articles or books that can be supportive to our healing processes.
Please know that purchasing your herbs and supplements through these places supports my practice in very tangible ways and helps to cover the time I spend prescribing your herbs. While it does involve shipping times, most offer free shipping with a $50 purchase and you are supporting your local acupuncturist!

Curable focuses on how we experience pain but anyone can benefit from this approach. I can gift any patient of mine 6 weeks of free access to exercises, reading materials and more that help you to understand more of how your brain works, and how to accentuate the parts that serve you better.

If you are curious about meditation Headspace takes away all the pressure and adds in some fun visuals. This is where I turn when I need to reframe my meditation practice. They leave aside the syrupy “spirituality” stuff and dive right into the bones of a functional meditation practice.

Started by two acupuncturists TOMA products are just the right amount of luxury and perfect for everyday. These are the products I use during microneedling and facial gua sha sessions (and at home!) and are included in the microneedling aftercare kit. Their gua sha tool has become my favorite for clinic and home. Buying through this links allows you a discount on products AND supports my practice - thank you!

This is where you can buy the Lanshin hot massager! My favorite TCM at-home tool ever. Sandra also posts a lot of content to encourage you to do gua sha at home. Buying through this link allows you a discount AND supports my practice. Thank you!

Therapeutic Patches for Acupuncture Points
If you need extra support while at home or during travel these patches can be placed over prescribed acupuncture points to help with pain, aid with sleep or calm anxiety. I can prescribe the patches during our next acupuncture appointment or you can set up a separate phone/video patching consult - after the call I’ll mail the patches to you and email you the patching prescriptions with detailed instructions.
Patches are $3 each.
A typical prescription uses 2-4 patches over 24-48 hours. By layering multiple prescriptions over the course of several days we can keep your qi in line until you can come in for an appointment.
Chinese medicine is not just acupuncture! The medicine offers a comprehensive approach to healing and well-being including an array of self-care practices. Patients who are open to integrating simple exercises, diet and mindfulness techniques into their daily lives often see faster and longer-lasting results. By using the Jing app I can prescribe specifically for your condition by selecting self-massage, acupressure points, qi gong exercises, diet and stretches that will help you continue your progress in between sessions.
If you want a physical (beautiful) gift certificate that you can present to someone by hand or by mail add this to your cart or ask next time you are at my office!
